Who It's For
Most linear gas fireplaces are built for looks: a wide ribbon of flame, a blower doing the real work, and a room that never feels as warm as the fire suggests. So you end up picking between the fireplace you want to see and the heat you want to feel. You need a fire that's as warm as it is wide. If you want a tall, wall-anchoring fire that heats you—quietly, with no blower running—the Valor LT2 is the one. A decorative linear gives you the look; this one gives you the look and the heat.
What Makes It Special
The LT2 heats by radiation. A stainless steel burner, ceramic glass, and low-mass ceramic logs that heat up and glow quickly all push warmth into the floor, the couch, and you—the way the sun warms your face. There's no blower cycling on and off, and because the whole fireplace runs on four AA batteries, it keeps making heat when the power goes out.
Every LT2 installs with Valor's HeatShift system: hidden ducts that carry up to 60% of the fire's heat back into the room while steering it away from the wall above, so a TV or artwork can hang there and a mantel can sit lower than usual. It works by gravity—no fan, no electricity. Choose a front frame, side grilles, or a valance hidden near the top of the wall.
There's also an overhead light inside the firebox, so the fire bed glows with the fire on or off—a lit fireplace in July, without the heat.
Possible Downsides
- The HeatShift duct system is required, so every installation includes ducting and a heat outlet built into the wall above the fireplace.
- No built-in fan; an optional remote blower works only with the 48" and 38" plenum kits.
- WiFi and app control are an optional kit, not included.
If you want a linear fire that actually heats the room it anchors, the LT2 is the right decision. The room it's in becomes the room the house lives in.
The LT2 takes six fire beds—Grand Traditional logs, Birch, Splitwood, Driftwood, Rock and Shale, and Murano Glass—four liners from gray brick to reflective glass, two trim styles, and three HeatShift outlet styles, so the fire can match the wall it lives on.

Can you get an instant online estimate for the Valor LT2?
Yes—right on this page. Configure the Valor LT2 and get a free, no-obligation instant estimate covering the unit as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor. No phone call required.
What's included in the online estimate?
The unit with the options you selected, a real vent kit matched to your venting, and the installation labor for a typical setup. Your free one-to-two-hour in-home visit confirms every detail before anything is ordered.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, on every job, in every jurisdiction we serve—and we meet the inspector. It's built into the process, not an upsell.
Can you see the Valor LT2 in a photo of your own room?
Yes. The Visualizer tab on this page renders the Valor LT2 into a straight-on photo of your wall, scaled to the room, so you see it in your space before you price a thing. Phone photos are fine. It's a faithful preview, not an architectural drawing; sizing, venting, and trim get confirmed at the free in-home visit.
Is the online estimate real, or a rough guess?
Real, and honest about what it is: a price for the Valor LT2 as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor, built from real Seattle installs. It is not binding. The free one-to-two-hour in-home visit checks your actual house before the price is final, and nothing is ordered until then.
Do you install and service the Valor LT2 yourselves?
Yes, both. Our own in-house installers set the Valor LT2, run the venting and the gas, pull the permit, and light the first fire before leaving. Afterward the service desk looks after every unit that came from Sutter, with factory-trained technicians and a real date when you call.
