Who It's For
You want the wide, low look of a contemporary fireplace but not the crystals. You want logs, a glowing ember bed, and enough heat for a big open room. The Ultimate U900E is that fireplace: a linear glass front over a glowing linear ember bed with logs, enamel panels behind, a blower built in, and a clean edge or a four-piece glass surround to finish it. If you want contemporary scale with a fire that still looks like wood is burning, this is the one. Choose a crystal-bed linear unit and you give up the logs and the ember glow.
What Makes It Special
The U900E pairs a linear glass front with a glowing ember bed and logs, so the fire has the warmth of a traditional set at a contemporary width, and the black enamel panels behind it mirror the flames.
The blower is standard. The inner door frame gives a flush, clean edge; the black faceplate or the pure black glossy four-piece glass surround frames the fire when you want it framed. A Heatwave kit can move heat to another room.
Possible Downsides
- Non-combustible facing is required, so the wall finish is part of the plan.
- It is a large, premium unit; a small room will be happier with the Horizon HZ40E.
If you want a big contemporary fire with real logs and a glowing ember bed, the Ultimate U900E is the right decision. The room warms up and the fire still looks like a fire.
