A linear freestanding fire at living-room width.
Quick Facts
- Heating Capacity: 800–1,550 sq ft
- Viewing Area: 43 9/16" wide
- Fuel: Natural gas; propane with a conversion kit.
- Controls: Remote with thermostat included; wall switch and phone app available.
Who It's For
Living rooms suit a linear fire, but a built-in linear means a wall rebuilt around it. You need the long, low look without the construction. If you want about 44 inches of fire on the wall facing your sofa and would rather not open that wall, the Stand Alone 110 is the middle size. The 75 is compact for a living room; the 150 asks for a longer wall.
What Makes It Special
The Stand Alone 110 shows a 43 9/16-inch-wide, 13 9/16-inch-tall fire, the classic long and low linear shape, in a finished box that mounts on the wall or sits on the optional decorative base.
By our math on Ortal's gas input, it's sized to warm approximately 800 to 1,550 square feet.
Its heat barrier is a fine metal mesh screen, close to invisible from the couch. With the screen version and no lights, it can run on batteries, which means it still lights during an outage. The included remote has a thermostat mode, so you set a temperature and it manages the flame.
Possible Downsides
- The flame is low and wide; for a taller, squarer fire in a smaller room, the Stand Alone 75 is the better shape.
- It ships set up for natural gas; propane takes a conversion kit installed by an Ortal-authorized technician.
- The black reflective interior is optional, not standard.
If you want a linear gas fire in your living room without a remodel, the Stand Alone 110 is the right decision. The living room finally has a focal point that isn't the TV.
Make it yours with any of the five included log sets, with bonfire, campfire, aspen, and branch sets as upgrades, and add a black reflective interior and a decorative base if you like.

What's included in the online estimate?
The unit with the options you selected, a real vent kit matched to your venting, and the installation labor for a typical setup. Your free one-to-two-hour in-home visit confirms every detail before anything is ordered.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, on every job, in every jurisdiction we serve—and we meet the inspector. It's built into the process, not an upsell.
Can you see the Ortal SA 110 - 43x13 in a photo of your own room?
Yes. The Visualizer tab on this page renders the Ortal SA 110 - 43x13 into a straight-on photo of your wall, scaled to the room, so you see it in your space before you price a thing. Phone photos are fine. It's a faithful preview, not an architectural drawing; sizing, venting, and trim get confirmed at the free in-home visit.
Is the online estimate real, or a rough guess?
Real, and honest about what it is: a price for the Ortal SA 110 - 43x13 as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor, built from real Seattle installs. It is not binding. The free one-to-two-hour in-home visit checks your actual house before the price is final, and nothing is ordered until then.
Do you install and service the Ortal SA 110 - 43x13 yourselves?
Yes, both. Our own in-house installers set the Ortal SA 110 - 43x13, run the venting and the gas, pull the permit, and light the first fire before leaving. Afterward the service desk looks after every unit that came from Sutter, with factory-trained technicians and a real date when you call.
