Fire treated as architecture: one clean plane of glass, set into a wall you designed.
Quick Facts
- Heating Capacity: 1,250–2,500 sq ft
- Fuel: Propane or natural gas (propane needs a conversion kit).
- Controls: Touch control panel on the wall, black or white; smart-home and thermostat boards available.
- Fan: Not included; one of two fan kits is required.
Who It's For
In a house designed down to the reveal lines, a framed, screened fireplace can feel like a product dropped into the plan. You want a fire that reads as part of the architecture. The Firenze Single-Sided is for the homeowner, designer, or architect planning a modern custom space who wants the fireplace drawn into the elevation from the start. Choose a standard unit and the wall works around it; choose this one and it becomes the line the wall is built along.
What Makes It Special
There is no frame and no screen. The front is a single sheet of tempered glass 20 inches high, so the opening becomes a clean horizontal cut in the wall with flame inside it.
Full-spectrum LED underlighting lets you change the color of the glow beneath the flame, and overhead accent lights keep the interior lit while the fire rests. A glossy black glass liner intensifies the flame; matte painted black or handmade brick softens it.
A wall-mounted touch panel runs it, and optional boards connect it to a thermostat or a home-automation system.
Possible Downsides
- The fan is not included. One of two fan kits must be added.
- Every Firenze needs a ventilated chase or a CoolSmart wall kit. Your builder plans for this in the framing.
If you are designing a modern space and want the fire built into the architecture rather than added to it, the Firenze Single-Sided is the right decision. The wall reads as one clean composition, with a band of flame at its center.
Specify embers with Ember-Glo glass or black or platinum crushed glass, a black glass, painted black, or handmade brick liner, a black or white control panel, an inline or remote grill fan, optional logs, stones, or cannon balls, propane conversion, smart-home and thermostat boards, and TV wall kits.

Can you get an instant online estimate for the DaVinci Firenze - Single Sided?
Yes—right on this page. Configure the DaVinci Firenze - Single Sided and get a free, no-obligation instant estimate covering the unit as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor. No phone call required.
What's included in the online estimate?
The unit with the options you selected, a real vent kit matched to your venting, and the installation labor for a typical setup. Your free one-to-two-hour in-home visit confirms every detail before anything is ordered.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, on every job, in every jurisdiction we serve—and we meet the inspector. It's built into the process, not an upsell.
Can you see the DaVinci Firenze - Single Sided in a photo of your own room?
Yes. The Visualizer tab on this page renders the DaVinci Firenze - Single Sided into a straight-on photo of your wall, scaled to the room, so you see it in your space before you price a thing. Phone photos are fine. It's a faithful preview, not an architectural drawing; sizing, venting, and trim get confirmed at the free in-home visit.
Is the online estimate real, or a rough guess?
Real, and honest about what it is: a price for the DaVinci Firenze - Single Sided as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor, built from real Seattle installs. It is not binding. The free one-to-two-hour in-home visit checks your actual house before the price is final, and nothing is ordered until then.
Do you install and service the DaVinci Firenze - Single Sided yourselves?
Yes, both. Our own in-house installers set the DaVinci Firenze - Single Sided, run the venting and the gas, pull the permit, and light the first fire before leaving. Afterward the service desk looks after every unit that came from Sutter, with factory-trained technicians and a real date when you call.
