Quick Facts

  • Fuel: Natural gas or propane.
  • Controls: Standing pilot; remote and wall thermostat optional.
  • Fan: Optional.

Who It's For

You want a timeless cast iron stove you can watch from anywhere in the room, with simple standing pilot controls. The Jøtul GF 520 is made for that. Settle for a plain box and you give up the design and craft Jøtul is known for.

What Makes It Special

This GF 520 has a modern, clean cast iron design with three-sided glass that gives a view of the fire from any angle, around a handcrafted Beach Fire or Birch log set.

Jøtul builds it for energy efficiency, durability, and many years of warmth.

Like every Jøtul gas stove and fireplace, it comes with an approved fire safety screen.

Possible Downsides

  • The log set is ordered separately. Choose Beach Fire or Birch; one is required.
  • The remote and blower are optional. The electronic-ignition GF 520 includes them.

If you want Jøtul's Norwegian craft with the ease of gas, the Jøtul GF 520 is the right decision. Cold mornings start with a fire at the push of a button.

Choose the Beach Fire or Birch log set, and add the variable-speed blower, remote, wall thermostat, and a black reflective or black fluted panel kit.
