Who It's For

A large masonry fireplace in a renovated room is a lot of traditional brick, and a log insert leans into that whether the room does or not. You need a large insert with a modern fire bed and the heat to match the room. If you want a wide crystal, stone, or driftwood fire in a big opening, the Horizon HRi6 is the one. A log insert heats the room just as well, but it tells a different story.

What Makes It Special

The HRi6 brings the contemporary fire bed to Regency's largest insert size: crystals and firebeads in six colors, in small or large bags to suit how full you want the bed, spa stones, volcanic stones, river pebbles, or a ceramic driftwood set, over black enamel reflective panels.

Heat is radiant and convective, so the front of the room warms immediately and the included fan carries the rest, and the fire keeps running in a power outage. Seven Vignette faceplates, including arched and tudor styles with safety screens, finish it.

Possible Downsides

  • Fire media is chosen separately, not included.
  • Black enamel is the only interior; there are no brick panels on this model.
  • Sized for large openings; for a smaller fireplace, see the Horizon HRi3.

If you want a large fireplace to read as modern and still carry the room on a cold night, the Horizon HRi6 is the right decision. The room you renovated finally has a fire that belongs in it.

The HRi6 offers crystals and firebeads in six colors in one- or five-pound bags, spa and volcanic stones, river pebbles, a driftwood log set, black enamel reflective panels, seven Vignette faceplates, inlays, six backing plates including custom sizes, spacers, hearth trim, a non-combustible hearth board, and a mantel heat deflector.
