Who It's For
An open fireplace pulls heat out of the house, and most inserts fix that with a thin firebox and a blower that runs all evening. You need an insert that heats you, not the air around you—and a fire full enough to be worth watching. If you want the biggest, richest fire Valor builds into a G3 without giving up the radiant warmth the G3 is known for, the V-Class G3 is the one to look at. Choose a fan-driven insert instead and the warmth works only as long as the blower does.
What Makes It Special
The V-Class burner fills the firebox with a full, rich fire while matching the heat output and efficiency of Valor's long-running Legend G3. The heat it makes is radiant: the ceramic glass and low-mass logs soak up the fire's warmth and send it into the room the way the sun warms your face, and a built-in secondary heat exchanger moves warm air naturally—no blower required, so the fire is never the loudest thing in the room.
AutoFire fine-tunes the air feeding the fire automatically, so it heats up fast when you turn it on and runs efficiently all season. And the whole insert runs on four AA batteries as its primary power—no electrical hookup—so it keeps making heat when the power's out.
Possible Downsides
- The flame doesn't turn down as low as the Legend G3's. If you want to run the fire down to a faint ember glow on mild evenings, look at the Legend.
- The fan kit is optional, not included. The insert is built to heat without one, but add it if you want warm air pushed farther into the room.
- V-Class fire beds are logs only—birch, driftwood, or traditional. The rocks and Pebble Beach driftwood beds belong to the Legend G3.
If you want a fire that fills the firebox and heat you can feel from the couch, the V-Class G3 is the right decision. The room it's in becomes the room the house lives in.
The V-Class G3 takes three log sets (birch, driftwood, or traditional), three liners (fluted black, red brick, or reflective glass), and fronts ranging from traditional cast iron and FenderFire door sets to Clearview and clean contemporary styles in black or brushed nickel, with a full range of surrounds to finish the look.

Can you get an instant online estimate for the Valor G3 (Premium V-Class Burner)?
Yes—right on this page. Configure the Valor G3 (Premium V-Class Burner) and get a free, no-obligation instant estimate covering the unit as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor. No phone call required.
What's included in the online estimate?
The unit with the options you selected, a real vent kit matched to your venting, and the installation labor for a typical setup. Your free one-to-two-hour in-home visit confirms every detail before anything is ordered.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, on every job, in every jurisdiction we serve—and we meet the inspector. It's built into the process, not an upsell.
Can you see the Valor G3 (Premium V-Class Burner) in a photo of your own room?
Yes. The Visualizer tab on this page renders the Valor G3 (Premium V-Class Burner) into a straight-on photo of your wall, scaled to the room, so you see it in your space before you price a thing. Phone photos are fine. It's a faithful preview, not an architectural drawing; sizing, venting, and trim get confirmed at the free in-home visit.
Is the online estimate real, or a rough guess?
Real, and honest about what it is: a price for the Valor G3 (Premium V-Class Burner) as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor, built from real Seattle installs. It is not binding. The free one-to-two-hour in-home visit checks your actual house before the price is final, and nothing is ordered until then.
Do you install and service the Valor G3 (Premium V-Class Burner) yourselves?
Yes, both. Our own in-house installers set the Valor G3 (Premium V-Class Burner), run the venting and the gas, pull the permit, and light the first fire before leaving. Afterward the service desk looks after every unit that came from Sutter, with factory-trained technicians and a real date when you call.
