Who It's For
A small masonry fireplace usually means a small window on the fire. You want the most view you can get from a compact insert. The Mendota FV32i FullView is made for that. Leave the old opening as it is and it keeps sitting dark.
What Makes It Special
Mendota says the FV32i gives 30% more viewing area than comparably sized inserts, and that it is among the most efficient of all gas fireplace inserts.
New magnetic fronts give it a flush, streamlined look. It has Mendota's Classic fire comes from a two-tiered burner that gives the flames dramatic depth, and you can turn off the rear burner and lower the flame from the remote for a gentler fire.
If the power goes out, plug in the back-up battery pack and the burner and flame height keep working; the fans and accent lights wait for the power to return. Mendota builds its fireplaces from heavy-gauge steel with full-seam welding and careful hand assembly in America's heartland.
Possible Downsides
- Surround, logs, liner, and front are sold separately. You choose each one to build the look.
- The fans need power. In an outage the battery pack runs the burner, not the fans.
If you want a Mendota fire in your existing fireplace, the Mendota FV32i FullView is the right decision. The fireplace you used to ignore becomes the one you light every evening.
Choose the surround, front, liner, and log set or media, and add the LED floor light kit where offered.

Can you get an instant online estimate for the Mendota FV32i Fullview?
Yes—right on this page. Configure the Mendota FV32i Fullview and get a free, no-obligation instant estimate covering the unit as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor. No phone call required.
What's included in the online estimate?
The unit with the options you selected, a real vent kit matched to your venting, and the installation labor for a typical setup. Your free one-to-two-hour in-home visit confirms every detail before anything is ordered.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, on every job, in every jurisdiction we serve—and we meet the inspector. It's built into the process, not an upsell.
Can you see the Mendota FV32i Fullview in a photo of your own room?
Yes. The Visualizer tab on this page renders the Mendota FV32i Fullview into a straight-on photo of your wall, scaled to the room, so you see it in your space before you price a thing. Phone photos are fine. It's a faithful preview, not an architectural drawing; sizing, venting, and trim get confirmed at the free in-home visit.
Is the online estimate real, or a rough guess?
Real, and honest about what it is: a price for the Mendota FV32i Fullview as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor, built from real Seattle installs. It is not binding. The free one-to-two-hour in-home visit checks your actual house before the price is final, and nothing is ordered until then.
Do you install and service the Mendota FV32i Fullview yourselves?
Yes, both. Our own in-house installers set the Mendota FV32i Fullview, run the venting and the gas, pull the permit, and light the first fire before leaving. Afterward the service desk looks after every unit that came from Sutter, with factory-trained technicians and a real date when you call.
