Who It's For
A small fireplace limits you to a small insert, and small inserts usually mean short burns and frequent loading. You need a compact insert that holds a fire. If your fireplace is small and you want ten-hour burns and 78 percent efficiency from it, the Cascades I1500 is the one. The simpler small insert heats the same room and needs feeding more often.
What Makes It Special
The I1500 brings Eco-Boost hybrid triple-burn to Regency's small insert size: a catalytic combustor stretches each load to ten hours and cuts emissions to one gram an hour, so a small fireplace heats longer on less wood. Hybrids carry a ten-year warranty on top of the lifetime limited warranty.
A classic black or nickel-accent door, regular or oversize backing plates, and standard or offset flue adapters fit it to the fireplace, and the optional variable-speed fan pushes heat into the room.
Possible Downsides
- The catalytic combustor is a wear part that eventually needs replacing; the Classic I1150 has none.
- The fan is optional, and inserts benefit from one.
- Small firebox; for a standard fireplace, see the Cascades I2500.
If your fireplace is small and you want it burning when you wake up, the Cascades I1500 is the right decision. The small fireplace heats like a stove and burns like a bigger one.
The I1500 offers a classic black or nickel-accent door, regular or oversize backing plates, standard or offset flue adapters, a variable-speed fan kit, bottom fascia or faceplates, and a replacement catalytic combustor.

Can you get an instant online estimate for the Regency i1500 Cascades?
Yes—right on this page. Configure the Regency i1500 Cascades and get a free, no-obligation instant estimate covering the unit as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor. No phone call required.
What's included in the online estimate?
The unit with the options you selected, a real vent kit matched to your venting, and the installation labor for a typical setup. Your free one-to-two-hour in-home visit confirms every detail before anything is ordered.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, on every job, in every jurisdiction we serve—and we meet the inspector. It's built into the process, not an upsell.
Can you see the Regency i1500 Cascades in a photo of your own room?
Yes. The Visualizer tab on this page renders the Regency i1500 Cascades into a straight-on photo of your wall, scaled to the room, so you see it in your space before you price a thing. Phone photos are fine. It's a faithful preview, not an architectural drawing; sizing, venting, and trim get confirmed at the free in-home visit.
Is the online estimate real, or a rough guess?
Real, and honest about what it is: a price for the Regency i1500 Cascades as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor, built from real Seattle installs. It is not binding. The free one-to-two-hour in-home visit checks your actual house before the price is final, and nothing is ordered until then.
Do you install and service the Regency i1500 Cascades yourselves?
Yes, both. Our own in-house installers set the Regency i1500 Cascades, run the venting and the gas, pull the permit, and light the first fire before leaving. Afterward the service desk looks after every unit that came from Sutter, with factory-trained technicians and a real date when you call.
