Who It's For
An open fireplace warms the people sitting right in front of it, and the rest of the house pays for it in drafts. You need the fire sealed in and the heat pushed out into the rooms you live in. If your home runs up to about 2,000 square feet and you want wood to do a real share of the heating, the Super Insert is sized for exactly that. Choose a smaller insert and it will run flat out on cold nights; choose this one and it settles in at a comfortable pace.
What Makes It Special
The Super Insert comes with two temperature-activated, variable-speed blowers. As the firebox warms, they switch on and move that heat out of the fireplace and across the room, so the warmth reaches past the couch.
Logs load straight in, front to back, which makes refueling easier and safer. A cast iron warming shelf and ash lip sit across the front, and a full load burns for approx. 7–10 hours—enough to go to bed warm and wake up to live coals.
Possible Downsides
- Its glass is the smallest of the three traditional inserts. For a bigger view of the fire, look at the Summit insert.
- Traditional arched door only. For a flat, contemporary face, look at the Neo 2.5 insert.
If you want your fireplace to heat most of an average-size home without running flat out, the Super Insert is the right decision. The cold corner of the house stops being cold, and the fireplace becomes the reason the whole main floor stays warm.
The Super Insert takes a door in Metallic Black, Nickel, or Brushed Nickel, and an embossed surround in standard or oversize.

Can you get an instant online estimate for the Pacific Energy Super LE?
Yes—right on this page. Configure the Pacific Energy Super LE and get a free, no-obligation instant estimate covering the unit as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor. No phone call required.
What's included in the online estimate?
The unit with the options you selected, a real vent kit matched to your venting, and the installation labor for a typical setup. Your free one-to-two-hour in-home visit confirms every detail before anything is ordered.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, on every job, in every jurisdiction we serve—and we meet the inspector. It's built into the process, not an upsell.
Can you see the Pacific Energy Super LE in a photo of your own room?
Yes. The Visualizer tab on this page renders the Pacific Energy Super LE into a straight-on photo of your wall, scaled to the room, so you see it in your space before you price a thing. Phone photos are fine. It's a faithful preview, not an architectural drawing; sizing, venting, and trim get confirmed at the free in-home visit.
Is the online estimate real, or a rough guess?
Real, and honest about what it is: a price for the Pacific Energy Super LE as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor, built from real Seattle installs. It is not binding. The free one-to-two-hour in-home visit checks your actual house before the price is final, and nothing is ordered until then.
Do you install and service the Pacific Energy Super LE yourselves?
Yes, both. Our own in-house installers set the Pacific Energy Super LE, run the venting and the gas, pull the permit, and light the first fire before leaving. Afterward the service desk looks after every unit that came from Sutter, with factory-trained technicians and a real date when you call.
