Who It's For
In a big house, a small insert keeps the room it sits in warm while the far bedrooms stay cold, and you end up reloading it all evening. You need a firebox big enough to heat the whole place and hold a fire through the night. If your home runs up to 3,000 square feet and wood is a main heat source, the Summit Insert is the one built for that job. Go smaller and you trade the whole-house warmth for a busy evening at the wood box.
What Makes It Special
The Summit has the largest firebox of the insert line and takes logs up to 20 inches. That means fewer, bigger loads and burns of approx. 8–12 hours—load it at bedtime and there is still a bed of coals when you get up.
Two temperature-activated, variable-speed blowers come standard to move the heat out of the fireplace and into the house. Logs load straight in, front to back, over a cast iron warming shelf and ash lip.
Possible Downsides
- It is built for spaces up to 3,000 square feet. For a single room or a smaller home, the Vista or Super insert is the better size.
- Traditional arched door only. There is no contemporary version of this size in the insert line.
If you want one fireplace insert to heat a large home through the night, the Summit Insert is the right decision. Winter mornings start in a warm house, with coals already waiting in the firebox.
The Summit Insert takes a door in Metallic Black, Nickel, or Brushed Nickel and a standard or beveled oversized surround.

Can you get an instant online estimate for the Pacific Energy Summit LE?
Yes—right on this page. Configure the Pacific Energy Summit LE and get a free, no-obligation instant estimate covering the unit as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor. No phone call required.
What's included in the online estimate?
The unit with the options you selected, a real vent kit matched to your venting, and the installation labor for a typical setup. Your free one-to-two-hour in-home visit confirms every detail before anything is ordered.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, on every job, in every jurisdiction we serve—and we meet the inspector. It's built into the process, not an upsell.
Can you see the Pacific Energy Summit LE in a photo of your own room?
Yes. The Visualizer tab on this page renders the Pacific Energy Summit LE into a straight-on photo of your wall, scaled to the room, so you see it in your space before you price a thing. Phone photos are fine. It's a faithful preview, not an architectural drawing; sizing, venting, and trim get confirmed at the free in-home visit.
Is the online estimate real, or a rough guess?
Real, and honest about what it is: a price for the Pacific Energy Summit LE as configured, a fitting vent kit, and professional installation labor, built from real Seattle installs. It is not binding. The free one-to-two-hour in-home visit checks your actual house before the price is final, and nothing is ordered until then.
Do you install and service the Pacific Energy Summit LE yourselves?
Yes, both. Our own in-house installers set the Pacific Energy Summit LE, run the venting and the gas, pull the permit, and light the first fire before leaving. Afterward the service desk looks after every unit that came from Sutter, with factory-trained technicians and a real date when you call.
