Who It's For

A wood fire is the reason many people want a fireplace at all. You need one that burns well and looks right in the room. The Ambiance Hipster 14 is for the homeowner who wants real wood heat and the ritual that comes with it. Choose a gas or electric unit and you give up the crackle and the smell of a wood fire.

What Makes It Special

The Hipster pairs cast iron and soapstone with TruHybrid combustion, so one load of hardwood burns low and slow and the heat comes smoothly instead of spiking like a steel stove.

Tall, crystal-clear glass shows the fire, the soapstone lining evens out the heat, and it is mobile home approved. It is made in Vermont with cast iron made in Europe.

Possible Downsides

  • The fan is optional.
  • It is a wood fire. You load it, tend it, and carry out the ash.

If you want a real wood fire that is also a showpiece, the Ambiance Hipster 14 is the right decision. The room you used to pass through becomes the one everyone settles into.

Add the heat shield, fan, and fresh air kit.
