A few words about charcoal:
Barbecuing with charcoal is a tradition that fortunately survives even with the convenience of modern gas barbecues. We carry several charcoal barbecues and have discovered one universal truth: When you're barbecuing with charcoal nothing works better than real charcoal.
Ordinary charcoal briquettes are a processed fuel that contain combinations of the following ingredients: coal or oil, limestone, sawdust, borax, sodium nitrate, starch, charwood and wood scrap. These briquettes pollute the air and your food with sulfurdioxide and other chemicals. The last thing you need in that sirloin tip you just bought is some petroleum distillate.
